President Trump has announced that he has ended Secret Service protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden, effective immediately. The decision comes after a reporter asked Trump about the matter on Monday, and he responded by saying he would look into it.

According to Trump’s statement on Truth Social, Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, with as many as 18 agents assigned to his detail. Trump calls this arrangement “ridiculous” and claims it is funded by the US taxpayer.

Trump also mentioned that Hunter Biden is currently vacationing in South Africa, which he criticized for having a questionable human rights record. As a result, Trump announced that the US will no longer provide economic and financial assistance to South Africa.

Additionally, Trump stated that Ashley Biden, who has been receiving protection from 13 Secret Service agents, will also have her protection terminated.‎

This move comes after Trump extended Secret Service protection for his own children during his first term as President, and also for other high-ranking officials such as former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and former National Security Adviser Robert C. O’Brien.‎
