
For the 17th consecutive year, Navy Federal Credit Union has awarded $33,000 in grants to 33 nonprofit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties through its Dollars for Doers Program. This community-focused initiative recognizes and rewards employees who volunteer their time at qualified nonprofits, with each receiving a $1,000 grant.
One such champion is Elizabeth Haymans, a community service leader who was honored for her dedication to the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation for Excellence. As a leader of Navy Federal’s School Partnerships Program, Haymans has made a significant impact through the Take Stock in Children partnership, which pairs students with Navy Federal mentors
In addition to the Dollars for Doers program, Navy Federal fosters a culture of community service among its employees by offering eight hours of paid wx Campus donated nearly 30,000 volunteer hours to their community, demonstrating the credit union’s commitment to giving back.
Since its inception, the Dollars for Doers program has had a total impact of over $1.7 million, supporting local organizations and empowering employees to make a difference in their communities.
